It is great to be a Democrat these days!

Primary after primary, caucus after caucus, Democrats are voting in record numbers and party 

registration growing throughout the country.

Once again, Democrats in Bradford County and in Pennsylvania are finding that our votes do 

matter and that we are in a unique position to impact the next election.  Organization, 

participation and funding are more important than ever as we face the November election.

We are stronger and wiser after our last two victories in Bradford County.  Congressman Chris 

Carney and the Democratic majority in the Bradford County Commissioners Office of Mark Smith 

and John Sullivan are evidence that change is not only welcome but called for in Bradford County.

We know that there will be a renewed effort by the Republican Party to block the Democratic 

goals of a strong, compassionate, people-centered government.  We must be ready to stand 

our ground, face the opposition and support our candidates in November.

Our goals are:

·       Do our part to help the Democratic Presidential Candidate win in November and help take 

our country back.

·       Assure that our freshman congressman, Chris Carney, will be returned to office and work 

towards supporting a strong democratic agenda.

·       Support Trey Casimir in his bid for the Pennsylvania District 23 Senate seat so that when 

elected he’ll be able to help voice our local concerns in our State’s Government. 

·       Be constant watchdogs and hold politicians of all parties accountable to the will of the people.

Adlai Stevenson once said, “I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my 

Republican friends…that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the 

truth about them.”
